Senior PMO Analyst - Resource Management - Worthing 1 or 2 days per week
£50,000 to £55,000 per day plus excellent benefits, bonus and career opportunities/Worthing, West Sussex, 1 to 2 days per week in the office
My client a leading technology strong professional services company seek an experienced Senior PMO Analyst with a good background in Resource Management, to ensure that resources and resourcing related risks and issues are effectively managed, and that utilisation, capacity and demand are balanced across the (IT) portfolio - you will need end to end project to programme experience and possess strong negotiating skills.
Skills & Competencies for the Senior PMO Analyst - Resource Management position:
- Supply versus demand - capacity and utilisation management.
- What-if scenario modelling/Profiling resources for estimation.
- Project planning and delivery knowledge.
- Providing and having a good understanding/interpretation of quality resource related management information and reports.
- Understanding of interdependent resource related processes (eg recruitment, HR, skills management).
- Taking a supporting, coaching and mentoring approach to stakeholders and a supportive, collaborative approach to solving issues and problems.
- Critical thinker, able to work methodically and logically to solve problems.
- Ability to work well in a pressurised and fast paced environment.
- Ability to build and maintain good stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities for the Senior PMO Analyst - Resource Management position:
- Line Management of up to 4 people, ensuring all personal development and objectives are set and reviewed. This includes several FTC as well as permanent team members.
- Working knowledge of Purchase Order Processes to assist overview of the process.
- Knowledge of Risk Management and further define processes in the team for Resourcing as well as Enterprise wide to support governance model.
- Knowledge of and use of PPM tool, Planview/Enterprise 1.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Teams/Visio.
Technical Responsibilities for the Senior PMO Analyst - Resource Management position:
- Excellent understanding of the fundamental principles of the management of resources within a complex environment/portfolio with multiple teams (300 people +).
- Good understanding of multi methodology delivery life cycles (waterfall, agile, hybrid for projects and programmes) and how this impacts and changes the way resources are managed.
- Understanding of programme and portfolio management as well as project management.
Risk & Compliance Responsibilities for the Senior PMO Analyst - Resource Management position:
- Good understanding of the management of risk within projects, programmes and portfolios.
- Exposure to regulated industries and the challenges that that brings.
Qualifications for the Senior PMO Analyst - Resource Management position:
Essential:
- Prince2/APM or PMI related.
- P3O foundation.
Desirable:
- Agile related.
- P3O advanced.
Desirable continued:
- Management of risk.
