Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Sitecore Systems & Performance Officer for an initial contract until the end of March 2022 on a rate of £350/day (inside of IR35) with the option to pe part time or full-time. Due to the current circumstances this role will be remote based for the foreseeable future.Responsibilities:
- Sitecore super-user and team lead on development and maintenance of guidance documentation on all aspects of creating and publishing web content in Sitecore.
- maintaining web-publishing knowledge base, including desk notes for all content-related parts of the website
- ensuring guidance documentation is kept current and fit for purpose.
- create and delivering training on CMS with staff from across the organisation, including editors in Scrutiny and Legislations spokes on an ongoing basis.
- being the first point of support for any issues with web-publishing or Sitecore, working with Digital Services (IT) as necessary
- responsibility for managing analytics packages and developing and delivering performance reports.
- sourcing, collecting and extracting data that is accurate and relevant to developers, content designers and digital communications specialists.
- analysing data and using this to create compelling evidence-based and actionable data stories to share with stakeholders to drive change and continuous improvement.
- working with colleagues to produce meaningful and actionable performance reports (both on a regular basis and in collaboration with content designers and digital communication specialists)
- working with Digital Communications and Content Manager (Marketing, Engagement & Corporate) to develop Sitecore email marketing principles and practice, and developing process for implementation.
- managing Google and website search consoles and report on search data to inform ongoing improvement.
- working with Web Content Manager and technical counterparts in Digital Services to improve Sitecore user experience and deliver online compliance for example, link-checking and accessibility plug-ins.
- responsibility for content-retention review calendar, archiving, deleting or refreshing content as required.
- responsibility for ongoing management of media library, ensuring user-friendly folder structure and deletion of older content.
- responsibility for implementation and management of Sitecore workflows and user permissions to ensure that content is user-focussed, accurate, compliant and published according to agreed timelines.
Essential Skills:
- an excellent understanding of the Sitecore content-management system, or equivalent
- the ability to provide training, coaching and other support to parliament staff. This would through a mixture of written guidance and training sessions, either one-to-one or in groups, at the office or virtually via Microsoft Teams.
Desirable Skills:
Experience of working in Agile teams
Experience of content design and top tasks methodology
