Responsibilities:

  • Be the main interface for DTS, responsible for managing and delivering all technical aspects of the Property Initiative portfolio
  • Be responsible for the delivery of all other technical elements of the project, including but not limited to; Hardware, WAN/LAN, Telephony, Information and physical security, AV, Security system, Procurement, various FM and Building Management software, Wayleave, Dry-runs, Testing, People Moves, Disposal of any remaining kit, Dilapidations
  • Development and maintenance of Technical delivery plans
  • Change management throughout the entire Life Cycle
  • Input into the bi-weekly status reports, as well as other ad-hoc reports (where required)
  • Create and maintain RAID logs and dashboards, tracking and analysis of budgetary information across the full programme portfolio
  • Set up and chair Technical delivery meetings
  • It will be vital for this role to be able to build a professional and supportive relationship with a range of Business Users and Sponsors across departments, and to be able to effectively communicate with people at all levels within the organisation
  • It will also be vital for this role to be able to build a professional and supportive relationship with a range of external consultants
  • Flexible and adaptable, the role will be varied and challenging
  • The holder of this role will be expected to follow internal change management standards and have knowledge of and experience of best change practices and methodologies for Technical initiatives

  • The successful Technical Project Manager will lead and guide the work of internal delivery teams, suppliers, consulting partners; serve as liaison between business; manage the project and programme phases; report on progress; manage the programme budgets; assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met

Key Experience/Skills:

  • Demonstrable and extensive experience of successfully managing similar initiatives in complex business and technology environments
  • Proven track record of delivering Technical initiatives within an office fit-out/refurbishment programme
  • Experience of liaising with Furniture Consultants, architects, M&E designers and Fit Out Contractors
  • Strong planning & estimating skills that are combined with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Project
  • Good working knowledge of SharePoint
  • Thorough understanding of building-related issues from a technical perspective
  • Extensive experience of managing small and medium scale projects
  • Experience of managing third party vendors and/or consultants
