Assistant Project Manager
£26.48 per hour PAYE or £33.51 per hour Umbrella (Inside IR35)
Marham, King's Lynn (remote)
Initially 6-month contract
Advantage Resourcing are working in partnership with a large engineering company who operate within the defence sector and are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to work in Marham. This role would be fully remote for the duration of the pandemic.
The Assistant Project Manager role fulfils a programme need for Project Management & Control support. This activity will include project management and scheduling for the bid, compilation and configuration of bid registers and action trackers, and co-ordination of Early Lifecycle Governance.
Purpose of the Role:
A level of specialist knowledge in one or more areas of project management is required, candidates will be expected to adapt and overcome to meet project objectives. This role will require liaison with Industry Partners. You will also:
* Support the production of reports on a monthly basis for input into project reporting packs.
* Schedule and cost monthly updates including analysis and forecasts.
* Update resource planning tool and schedule requirements
* Conduct process confirmations where appropriate.
* Support the project lead with effective communication across the project.
* Build and maintain effective liaison with all functional groups involved in project delivery.
* Identify more efficient and effective ways of working across the projects.
* Identify best practice and align local processes and procedures as applicable.
Tasks and Activities:
*Pan-service project co-ordination, managing project stakeholders to meet project objectives
*Undertake comprehensive planning activity and monitor performance
*Problem solving, based on experience and knowledge
*Support Continuous Improvement
*Deputise for the Project Manager where required
