Role: User Researcher/UX Researcher (MUST HAVE GDS EXPERIENCE!)
Location: Remote (100% Work from home)
IR35: Outside
Term: 6 months (rolling)
Rate: £350 per day
Start: IMMEDIATE
Our client is a digital transformation consultancy who provide technical resource for Government Digital Services (GDS) projects. The current programme of Digital Design Projects is for the Department for Education (DfE) developing public facing web applications accessed via the .Gov.Uk website.
The requirement is for an experienced User Researcher/UX Researcher with experience working on fast paced Government Digital (GDS) projects. The environment is Agile & Scrum based. You must be an excellent communicator with the ability to engage with the team and be able to hit the ground running and add value to the projects.
As the UR you will need to know what the GDS Service Standards are and can demonstrate the team have met the criteria for those standards.
Main UR attributes:
- proactively lead on the UR plan/strategy ie identify where our UR gaps are and put in a plan to address those gaps
- Be engaged and keep up with what we are developing and align that to the UR plan
- what problem we are solving for our users - ensure the team are addressing those problems with the service we are designing/developing
- understand the policy/core user need behind our service and ensure we are implementing that policy/user need
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills
Required skills/background:
- User Research (UR) skills and experience
- User Experience Research (UX) skills and experience
- Agile & Scrum experience for Web applications for .Gov.Uk website
- Understanding knowledge and experience working to Government Digital Services (GDS) practices
- Understanding of Public Sector, GDS, DfE
There is no requirement for Security Clearance, but you must be able to supply information for a DBS clear check.
