MHC Overview:
MHC are an award-winning IT and Business Consultancy, specialising in Change Management initiatives, which we deliver working in a collaborative way with our Clients. We are currently working on a wide variety of assignments that include some major Digital Transformation initiatives, Regulatory and Compliance Programmes and Tools adoption projects where we are providing specialist technical and business services to a client base of primarily Tier 1 Banks.

You will have the confidence and the capability to step straight into a specialist consultancy role within one of MHC's Practice areas to provide effective and efficient solutions that support our Clients' business requirements, while working constructively with senior MHC and Client managers and other staff.

Spec;

  • You will need to influence, challenge and support key stakeholders and provide support and direction of more junior colleagues in the Risk team, to help delivery of functional objectives and support personal development of the team
  • You will be accountable for leading the risk management approach across the Operations team that you partner with and are responsible for supporting the operational teams in evaluating risks, understanding the adequacy and effective controls and producing options to mitigate/reduce risk
  • Plan and manage the implementation of risk processes and procedures, tools and techniques for the identification, assessment, and management of risk inherent in the operation of business processes and of potential risks arising from planned change
  • Actively identify risks, ensure they are appropriately logged and tracked at the appropriate forums, and take appropriate action to mitigate or resolve

Essential skills/experience

  • The successful candidate will act as a risk partner for our Digital teams (covering Customer On-boarding, Mobile, Design, Web and Commercial platforms) - someone pro-active who can hit the ground running.
  • Needs to have a strong understanding of risk management and non-financial risks (particularly operational risk, Conduct risk, Financial Crime risk) & experience in risk processes including Risk and Control Self-Assessment, Issue Management, Incident and Event Management procedures and Risk Govemance and Reporting
  • Able to build relationships with Digital team members quickly and be able to support/challenge the team, ensuring that risks are raised and managed in a timely manner.
  • Familiar with Agile change methodology and have experience of how to deliver products and services for customers in an Agile way.
  • Prior experience of process improvement in an operational environment is desirable
