Service Transition Analyst
4 Month Contract
Birmingham 3 days in a two week period
£300p/d (Inside IR35)

My client are recruiting for a Service transition Analyst to work on an initial 4 month contract based in Birmingham. This role is responsible for accepting products, determining whether they are fit for purpose and assessing product readiness against agreed service acceptance criteria.

Accountabilities

To be accountable for the coordination of service transition activities across multiple projects, suppliers, service teams, Platforms and Products
To be responsible for managing service transition resources to support successful service delivery
To be responsible for managing the development of successful service transition plans for each project
To be accountable for providing recommendations to the 'go-live', 'early-life support' and 'service acceptance' stages
To be accountable for managing and ensuring that acceptance criteria are understood by the wider IT operations
To be responsible for the shaping and delivery of transition projects and programmes to individual business needs
To be accountable for managing the IT service and support capability and capacity ensuring adequate response times
To be accountable for managing governance and audit reporting, ensuring service standards are met for their specific service

Knowledge and experience required:

  • Continual service improvement. Ability to identify process optimisation opportunities and contribute to the implementation of proposed solutions.
  • Problem management. Ability to proactively initiate and monitor actions to investigate patterns and trends to resolve problems, including consulting specialists where required. Ability to identify and apply appropriate solutions and assist with implementation of them as well as preventative measures.
  • Service focus. Ability to view services from an end to end viewpoint and investigate how to get the best of underlying services.
  • User focus. Ability to understand and the identify needs and engage with users or stakeholders to collate user needs evidence to create positive user outcomes.
  • Knowledge of the digital economy, digital contexts and designs service that fit them, new technologies and their potential application.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Frameworks, Methodologies and best practice.
  • Knowledge of how to integrate multiple platforms
  • Experience of managing service transitions and coordinating the capability and capacity from multiple teams and expert communities.
  • Experience of managing or supporting the implementation of efficient and beneficial business changes
  • Experience of producing reports to support the governance of service standards.
  • Developing the minimum viable products and make decisions about priorities.
  • Managing supplier activity
  • Managing service improvement to process and tooling
  • Approval of change requests (as per delegated authority)
  • Budget management to deliver backlog c. £50K-£100K
  • Work collaboratively across boundaries to ensure that the business maximises its strategic outcomes within the resources available (Matrix resource management using internal and external resources)
