Development Technical Delivery Architect/Lead

Whitehall Resources require a Development Technical Delivery Architect/Lead to work with a key client based in Essex, with some remote work.

*Please note that the successful candidate will be required to use an FCSA accredited umbrella company for the duration of the contract*

The Development Technical Delivery Architect/Lead is responsible for day to day management of highly specialised technical teams and their activities, including; Communication, planning and tracking the activities/deliverables, team capacity/skills planning, monitoring and reporting progress/estimates to complete, identification of dependencies on other areas, reporting and managing risks and issues. Provides guidance, coaching and leadership for technical skills and knowledge dissemination and involvement in local quality control activities (eg peer reviews). The Technical Delivery Lead is engaged in leading technical delivery activities and has overall responsibility for systems management requirements, overall quality and availability of the solution. Has expertise and detailed knowledge of technologies and Applications used within the engagement and advises on and promotes the most appropriate use of the technologies and skills within the team.

Typical aspects of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Assessment of programme impacts on existing platforms
* Provide technical best practice feedback on release procedures, rollback techniques and processes.
* Assign, schedule and co-ordinate all technical resource to ensure successful delivery
* Responsible for ensuring that the platform solution meets the SLA requirements
* Demonstrates through technical evaluation, expertise in the configuration, tuning and operational support of the solution such as, enterprise content management, enterprise document management, distributed security/gatekeeper applications, enterprise application integration platforms, auditing and reporting solutions.
* Expert knowledge of end to end components required for platforms.

Key responsibilities and skills/experience include but are not limited to the following:
* Provides leadership and guidelines to promote the development and exploitation of specialist knowledge in the engagement.
* Establishes standards and procedures across the IT service life cycle (including the development life cycle) in the areas of systems integration and testing and ensures that practitioners adhere to them. Manages resources to ensure that the systems integration function operates effectively.

The scope of the Technical Delivery Lead role includes but is not limited to the following:
* Has authority and responsibility for all aspects of significant areas of work, including policy formation and application. Is fully accountable for actions taken and decisions made, both by self and subordinates
* Makes decisions critical to the success of multiple engagement. Influences developments within the IT industry at the highest levels. Advances the knowledge and/or exploitation of IT within one or more organisations. Develops long-term strategic relationships with customers and industry leaders.
* Leads on the formulation and application of strategy. Applies the highest level of management and leadership skills. Has a deep understanding of the IT industry and the implications of emerging technologies for the wider business environment.
* Has a full range of strategic management and leadership skills. Understands, explains and presents complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels up to the highest in a persuasive and convincing manner. Has a broad and deep IT knowledge coupled with equivalent knowledge of the activities of those businesses and other organisations that use and exploit IT. Communicates the potential impact of emerging technologies on organisations and individuals and analyses the risks of using or not using such technologies. Assesses the impact of legislation, and actively promotes compliance.
