Project Planner Scheduler - Hampshire - Contract - £250 - £350 per day (Inside IR35) - DV Cleared

As a Project Scheduler/Planner you will be onsite working with Ministry of Defence (MOD) supporting the Project Manager, ensuring success from start to finish.

The Key Responsibilities of a Project Planner Scheduler:

  • Establish and maintain project plans, processes and reporting outputs to support the Head of Solutions delivery.
  • Develop and maintain an integrated multi view detailed MSP plan.
  • Support project managers in the scheduling of project activities and liaison with external parties when required.
  • Point of contact with central change function with regard to planning activities
  • Support the development of simple yet effective Governance, covering production of PowerPoint reports and other supporting material.
  • Support project and programme managers in providing demonstrable control over the projects.
  • Be proactive and show initiative in the upward briefing of challenges and issues to the Head of Solutions delivery.
  • Review and feedback status reports, challenge PMs where required.
  • Make sure risks and issues are captured, accurate, up to date and have realistic mitigating actions (that are reflected in plans)
  • Where required attend daily stand up meetings to capture and record Agile delivery team progress against plan(s).

Below is a list of Key Skills required for the Project Planner Scheduler, however you will not be expected to have everything:

  • Understanding of Project Management methodology and life cycle.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project
  • Report writing
  • Strong PowerPoint & Excel
  • Agile awareness
  • Hands on experience of project planning in a fast moving and dynamic environment.
  • Experience of operating as a project planner inside a IT delivery environment.
  • Ability to keep a cool head and remain calm under pressure.
