HR Data Specialist - Chester

Minimum Requirements/Knowledge Desired:

  • Degree required and relevant experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast paced and continuously changing work environment.
  • Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and a proven ability to manipulate data (V-Look Ups, Pivot Tables) and an ability to learn required business applications.
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge effectively.
  • Knowledge of HRIS/HCM systems, preferably Workday
  • Collaborates effectively in a team environment.
  • Desirable language skills beyond English: proficiency in one of German, Spanish or French language

Main Tasks:

  • Maintain and/or approve all data pertaining to employee records (ie, transfers, personal information, title changes, etc.) that are entered in Workday through Manager or Employee Direct Access.
  • Complete pending new hire transactions in Workday HCM after the candidate is in Ready to Hire status
  • Processes various transactions for employee data changes including promotions, pay adjustments, with a focus on quality and timeliness.
  • Administration and maintenance of all time off, time tracking and leave of absence transactions within Workday, as per the processes in place. This includes review and approval of transactions entered via employee or manager direct access and data entry for transactions identified for backdating, as per needed.
  • Supports the integrity of employee records and Workday data, assuring legal and regulatory compliance per the processes set in the system, as well as ensure processing of the information in time for payroll cutoffs or the statutory requirements
  • Maintains reasonable communication with employees as needed to facilitate smooth and timely leave transition; relays communication between employees and their managers during leave within reason, or connect with HR advisor and Rewards Specialists for more complex matters
  • Monitors return to work actions and conducts manager follow-up for all countries within the region.
  • Reviews reports and makes updates to the Workday data based on identified discrepancies.
  • Identifies and troubleshoots issues and escalate as appropriate.
  • May recommend revisions to company time and leave policies to Rewards Specialist, per the feedback received from the market
  • When needed, provides employees with pre-determined employment letters based on clear guidelines/parameters
  • Preserves confidentiality of employee medical documentation and files.
  • Makes process recommendations to achieve operational excellence, documents process changes, and updates process maps
  • Participates in special or ad-hoc projects and perform other duties as assigned (take part to the HR Harmonisation project which is ongoing now in BMS).
  • Updates Rewards specialist and HR advisors on needed updates for knowledge content on myBMS, as per they receive feedback from the market
