We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Buyer to join our Capital Delivery team at our Head Office in Warrington.

Working closely with the Regulatory Procurement Category Manager this role has end-to-end procurement responsibility for a large programme of work to specifically support & deliver procurement's in accordance with approved procedures and in line with the requirements of the United Utilities Regulations 2016. The role holder will deliver tender activities, run and structure assessments and work closely with our category teams.

What will you focus on?

From pretender engagement, through tender pack acceptance and ultimately through the procurement cycle, the role holder will be responsible for posting notices, engaging with suppliers and ultimately awarding compliant agreements.

What do you need?

The role holder will have demonstrable knowledge of the infrastructure sector, preferably water. They will have robust commercial background and have managed end to end procurement processes in their career to date. They will be self-sufficient, proactive, and able to advise stakeholders on procurement practices. They will be able to launch, negotiate and award contracts under the various procedures through UCR and be comfortable operating in a regulated procurement environment.
