My Client is looking for a Commercial Planning and Delivery Specialist for an initial 6 month contract inside of IR35.

The role holder in Commercial Planning & Delivery will be responsible for ensuring that all commercial elements of the area are achieved. Working in partnership with Technology Finance, Business Management and Delivery Portfolios the post holder will ensure that all budgets are appropriately underpinned, forecast and delivered against - driving accountability to hit the forecasts into every member of Service Platforms

What you'll be doing:
Managing financial aspects of the Galaxy Programme, and accountable for the following

*Budget: Engaging at Director level to ensure allocated portfolio, relevant CAPEX requirements are appropriately funded via agreed interlocks, and manage change control as necessary throughout the year
*Forecast: Accountable for ensuring the costs of the Programme are accurately forecasted on a monthly basis against agreed funding; and that the PMs/Delivery leads are responsible for the quality and accuracy of their monthly financial forecasts
*Cost to Funding alignment: Responsible for ensuring the Programme is cost to funding aligned
*Billing: Responsible for ensuring the Programme is appropriately and accurately recovering their costs against approved funding (including all resource and relevant 3rd party spend).
*Reporting: Financial reporting in agreed format across all Programme workstreams, working with PMs/Delivery leads to ensure accuracy of data
*Risks: To be proactive in identifying, tracking, managing and reporting any financial risks, issues and opportunities
*Improvements: to take responsibility to identify and deliver step change improvement initiatives benefiting the Programme

Skills Required:
*Storytelling with data: strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and communicating this to business audiences
*Organised & detail orientated -strong understanding of incoming funding and how you manage the spend/costs throughout the year
*Negotiation skills - working with stakeholders (inc CFUs), ensuring you are firm in your negotiations
*Stakeholder management - as the person responsible for ensuring that we meet scorecard KPI's you'll need to work closely with other teams and challenge where necessary
*Reporting - creation of reports that are useful, accurate and unambiguous
*Commercial acumen: Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, financial literacy (eg business KPIs, business cases)

Experience Needed:
*MANDATORY: Strong track record of managing budgets
*MANDATORY: Ability to demonstrate specific opportunities to transform and simplify a business approach to managing finances
*MANDATORY: Creating and delivering reports which are well used, timely and appropriate
*MANDATORY: Risk management - you need to call out and manage risks, and deliver good and bad news
*PREFERRED: Experience of managing suppliers and vendors
