Description
I am currently looking for an SAP QM consultant for one of my customers in Belgium.
JOB PURPOSE
*You will contribute and/or supervise to the design, configuration, testing, implementation, and maintenance of software applications, in line with departmental guidelines, procedures and business requirements to meet the functional and technology needs of the client.
*mix of project management, project tasks, application support, hands-on SAP QM and PP design and customizing.
*You will act as a sparring partner to the business and provide advice on best practice business processes with a holistic view on their integration aspects.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Play a key role in the full project life cycle, from initial set-up of the project, from initial discussions with users to the final delivery of the result (including first month of support and ad hoc questions later on).
Example of activities:
*Analyse the current business processes and scenarios and recommend solutions to meet the needs
*Define best practice business processes in SAP
*Document the functional design during the definition phase
*Map the business requirements and processes
*Identify gaps, issues and workaround solutions
*Design and customize the solution in SAP QM PP
*Prepare prototype and organize prototype sessions
*Write development requests for customer specific SAP modifications/enhancements
*Analyse requirements for interfaces, write development requests and organize testing
*Integration testing with other modules
*Prepare training material and organize training sessions
*Prepare cutover planning and activities
*Ensure smooth go-live with hyper care support
Applications Maintenance Support: Change Requests and Incident Management
Example of activities:
*Ensure the escalated third level user support (tickets are filtered by regional (second level) support)
*solve on local and/or global post go-live incidents and change requests.
Example of activities:
*All developments, all implemented technologies, all changes should be done while assuring IDT security.
*Governance of authorisations set-up to be applied strictly: authorisation, SOD, etc
Continuous Improvement
Reduce complexity via standardization and centralization, rationalize the number of QM/PP Z-transactions and applications, develop, and realize technical and business process improvements to contribute to the continuous optimization, simplification and standardization of SAP QM PP applications and systems
Example of activities:oMaintain the documentation, best practices, knowledge transfer
oApply the necessary change management to implement this governance, despite daily pressure
Change management
Initiate and maintain dialogue with the business and end-users during all phases of the change process.
Identify early adopters, ambassadors, address concerns and barriers to change and create awareness of the need and benefits of improved ways of working
Example of activities:
*Overcome key/end users' resistance to change and let them understand the benefit of the new applications, procedures, ways of working
*Don't fall into the trap of setting up unchanged Legacy business processes, but convince the users community to apply best practices, as close as possible to standard SAP
