Smartsourcing are looking for a Senior Architect (RIBA) to work for our Government client in London and overseas.To act as an Architect on selected projects, which will be allocated to them by the Architecture and Interior Design Team Leader.
Rate 400 per day Outside IR35
Deadline 12pm on Monday 13th Dec.
Due to the nature of this work Government security clearance if not already held will need to be obtained. The minimum clearance required for this role is SC.
The Architect will be expected to work individually or as part of a team. In certain situations they will be expected to act as the architectural design lead on multi-discipline projects, which will potentially cover all stages of the design and delivery process. They will be expected to lead in the production of architectural documentation, drawings and reports.
With the majority of projects being based overseas within embassy related buildings, an important focus is placed on the projects being delivered safely and securely.
The job holder will be required to build and maintain relationships with Services key stakeholders and customers, and in-house Services teams and resources. They should look to ensure that all projects have a strong customer focus, with the dissemination of accurate, timely and consistent periodic project reporting and communications at each stage of the project.
The job holder will also be required to represent Services at project board meetings and more generally, engage with stakeholders at all stages of a project.
The job holder will be allocated tasks by the Architecture and Interior Designer Team Leader, including details of the permitted number of hours and any project deadlines that need to be met.
Skills and Experience Required
Essential:
Demonstrable experience in providing Architecture design services, with a clear understanding of the latest industry developments and innovations
Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) with at least 5-years post qualification experience
Professional architectural qualification (RIBA part 3)
Proven track record in leading design and construction teams through project management processes
Knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation as applied in a architecture/construction context
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal
Good financial management skills
Knowledge of Design Software: AutoCAD, REVIT etc., Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel and Project
Ability to achieve SC or appropriate security clearance
Desirable:
Appreciation of Embassy and Residence security and fit-out requirements
Experience of working overseas
Competent in the use of AutoCAD and REVIT
