Our client is looking for an experienced data scientist to work within the transformation program with the goal of replacing the current core banking system with T24. This data scientist position is more than a technical role, it requires the understanding of business stakes and the ability to propose the optimum way to find solutions. The data scientist will be integrated with the advanced analytics and big data teams to develop data solutions supplied by the new business data warehouse.

The Role:

  • Analyze the current solution's functionality regarding data usage and process
  • Design both functionally and technically the requested data transformations to produce solutions
  • Develop data solutions within the platform Dataiku
  • Assess the solutions by making relevant backtesting exercises, then sharing these results with a non-technical audience
  • Test the solutions to meet the requirement
  • Prepare the automation of the solution in collaboration with the IT services

Skills/Experience

  • Strong mathematical and statistical background
  • 3+ years data scientist experience
  • Knowledge of banking products and credit risk/AML compliance
  • Practical experience with Hadoop ecosystem
  • Large datasets/data warehouse experience using data mining and modelling tools and languages
  • Client-oriented with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them to a technical solution
  • A team player
  • Fluent English and French
  • Understanding of how and what to prioritise
  • Hands-on and ability to work under pressure
