Description

A leader in Financial Services is looking for a Solution Architect to deliver end-to-end solutions and strategic business outcomes.

You will create roadmaps and designs for an all-encompassing vision for target state solutions for initiatives, and work across engineering teams to ensure implementation. You will also be able to pro-actively identify and resolve issues that are inefficient or hindering

Responsibilities include:

  • Producing and owning the end-to-end design of solutions spanning multiple software components
  • Working with engineering teams to ensure detailed component-level design responds to the end-to-end design
  • Working with Senior Architects to ensure data and functional architectures adhere to high-level architecture principles and supports target state vision
  • Planning and coordination of deployment activities across multiple technology platforms
  • Working with the IT Infrastructure team to make sure planned infrastructure supports the solution software components
  • Working with the testing team to support the definition and implementation of the testing strategy for the initiative
  • Working with component developers to elicit, validate and refine estimates for developing software components
  • Working closely with Business stakeholders, Product Managers/Owners and Business Analysts to help translate desired business outcomes into system requirements
  • Facilitate and participate in detailed design reviews

Key skills and experience:

  • Software and application development
  • Designing and delivering solution architecture for data-intensive initiatives
  • Working on Investment Management Front Office systems
  • Large transformational projects with multi-year system migration planning
  • Implementing and integrating 3rd party packages as part of solutions
  • Agile delivery methodologies (working knowledge of SAFe is a plus)
  • A practical understanding of CI/CD
  • Cloud technologies, including PaaS, container platforms (Docker and Kubernetes), Serverless, etc. (Red Hat OpenShift and AWS are desirable)
  • Defining, designing and implementing Microservices
  • Understanding of IBOR and ABOR fundamentals
  • Business Process Management (BPM) tools and techniques - ideally using Pega and Camunda
  • Modern enterprise application integration technologies, such as Apache Camel and MuleSoft

Desirable Skills:

  • Enterprise messaging technologies with experience of Kafka Big Data technology stacks, such as Cloudera CDH/CDP
  • Charles River product and interfaces
  • Data management and data quality tools
