IT Project Manager

£550 inside IR35

6 months initially

Location: Partially remote. Office based in Perth with infrequent travel to Havant, Hampshire.

A Multinational Energy Company is looking for an experience IT Project Manager.

This pivotal management role will support IT SMEs and Corporate shared service colleagues to define IT requirements and baseline the project scope and timescales within the Project Initiation Document and Project Schedule respectively. The role will ensure effective controls are put in place to manage the quality, time and cost of the project implementation using our client's PM work products.

The key Accountabilities of the Role are:

  • Establish and maintain highly effective relationships within large-scale projects and other project and business teams to ensure that integrations work correctly.
  • Deliver the projects to the required quality and success criteria as defined in the project definition or Project Initiation Document (PID).
  • Management of 3rd parties, acting as a routine contact point between organisation and supplier.
  • Manage cross project and programme dependencies, ensuring activities are joined up from an operational and delivery point of view.
  • Monitor contract performance, manage underperformance and escalate where necessary.
  • Ensure that IT/business strategy, policy and standards are adhered to, thus achieving commonality and ease of maintenance.

To do so, you need to demonstrate the following experience:

  • Demonstrable ability to provide leadership and focus for the project workstreams eg Data Analysis and Design - Integration Development - Integration and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Demonstrable experience of having delivered projects successfully using both waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Demonstrable experience of applying project governance frameworks.
  • Demonstrable ability to deal with ambiguity to bring stability to project delivery eg with respect to requirements definition and scope change.
  • In-depth understanding of HR and Procurement Business Processes as applied to Oracle E-business Suite.
  • Experience of implementing large-scale complex business change projects is essential.
