SAP SD Solution Architect - 12 month contract - Netherlands €95 - €120/hour
Job Purpose
This job is a combined role of Solution Architect and Project Consultant with a focus on SAP Sales and Distribution. The Solution Architect is responsible to translate functional requirements into a solution and describing it through architecture and designs. The architecture and designs are expected to be in line with business processes and architectural standards, guidelines & roadmaps. The Project Consultant is responsible for delivery and solution realization and enabling the execution of projects, managed by the project manager
Responsibilities
- Translates business demand into (detailed) requirements and appropriate solutions within the functional area, within agreed EA roadmaps
- Performs impact assessments on business demand and high level requirements to uncover and mitigate gaps with strategy, policy, guidelines, budget and operational supportability
- Performs complex analysis (eg scenario analysis), on own and other impacted domains and advise on business impact, (process) optimization, implementation planning and approach, cost and effort
- Designs and documents moderately/complex fit for purpose solutions using a structured approach and approved template models
- Drives implementation of solutions in adherence with the solution design
- Manages a variety of - groups of - stakeholders across the group
- Supports the project manager in delivering the project within the defined scope, time utilization and budget
- Provide functional expertise in the project in the relevant domain.
- Work with the (Solution) Architecture team to ensure that standards are implemented consistently
- Provide knowledge and project experience back to Solution Architecture teams
Experience
- At least 10 years of experience in the IT sector in general and with more than 5 years implementation experience in SAP SD, related integrations and ideally with other parts of SAP solutions such as LE, CS or FiCo
- Knowledge of and experience with generic SAP components such as EDI and SAP transport management
- Expressing deep and broad knowledge of architecture, IT security, (technology) platforms and business processes for the specific functional domain and with (comparable) business environments
- Solid solution architecture experience with business process modelling and/or infrastructure/application architecture design frameworks (TOGAF), tools, technologies, methodologies
- Knowledge and practical skills in best practice solutions in the shared solutions space
- Knowledge of the process industry and relevant application(s) in functional domain
- Experience with consulting or business roles
