Technical Project Manager - Desktop Transformation - Inside IR35

Exciting opportunity for a Technical Project Manager who's genuinely interested in Microsoft technology and has recent desktop refresh and desktop transformation experience. The project is very technical and the teams regularly converse in a technical way, therefore we need a PM who can follow the conversation, derive insight and understand the next steps to successfully manage the project. You will also be responsible for mentoring/coaching a junior project manager, so need to be prepared to support him too.

  • A demonstrable successful track record in the delivery of Desktop Transformation. Delivering complex projects to time, cost and quality using a variety of delivery methods, tools and technique
  • Product and outcome focus, building the right product for the customer.
  • Innovative demonstrating the ability to think 'out of the box' and use of innovative approaches to deliver at pace for the least cost.
  • Experience of applying different project management methods tools and techniques to deliver customer outcome
  • Pragmatic approach to project delivery, focus on delivering solutions that are 'good enough' to meet customer requirements (Minimum Viable Product) rather than delivering expensive gold plated solution
  • Ability to lead, direct and motivate a team and experience of managing delivery collaboratively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to effectively communicate, in oral and written form, with all stakeholders
  • Effective stakeholder management skills demonstrated at a variety of levels. Ability to resolve conflict and use negotiation skills
  • Proven planning and organisational skills. Ability to develop baseline project plans using MS Project. Strong commercial management skills and experience, and a track record of managing delivery from third
