Head of Product - Betting and Gaming - Inside IR35

6 months - remote occasional travel to Leeds or London

This is a leadership role with a responsibility for the Sports roadmap. You will draw on your passion and enthusiasm for Sports to ensure that the customer journey and experience is the number one priority.

Your role in the team

  • The role reports to the Chief Product Officer.
  • As the successful candidate you will ensure we are delivering excellent customer experiences. You will create and drive the Sports product roadmap.
  • You will manage a team of product owners and senior product owners. And work closely with design and data analytics teams.
  • Through a data driven prioritisation process you will ensure that the teams grow customer and business value through their product development choices.
  • You will work with senior stakeholders to curate a product strategy and initiative roadmap, engage with development partners to plan and deliver that roadmap.
  • You will be working across different products at different stages of the software life cycle. You should be able to shift easily between the different objectives required for each.
  • Communication is key and you will openly report on product development process, challenges and blockers.
  • Leading by example, ensure the team are focused on the customer and continuous improvement.
  • Champion and role model the importance of ongoing learning and personal continuous improvement.

Skills needed

  • A background as a Head of Product, Senior Product Owner or similar role in a UK focussed gaming business.
  • Knowledge and experience of digital Sports betting and gaming products in the UK regulated market.
  • A passion for product as a discipline.
  • Knowledge of how digital gambling businesses operate including customer needs and the challenges for operational staff.
  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders from business and operations teams, across a large distributed business.
  • Excellent track-record of driving transformational change at a large scale, across multiple product categories and delivery channels.
  • Familiarity and comfort working within an agile development environment. Being able to communicate to effect with remote development teams.
  • Understanding of the opportunities and challenges of a large, fast moving and dispersed business, being able to lead positive change through an organisation.
