You MUST have the following:
- Experience as a Lead React Developer/Software Engineer/Front End Lead
- Advanced React and JavaScript
- Strong React and Front End design and architectural ability
- Experience defining and implementing Front End standards and best practices across a team
- Agile
The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:
- TypeScript
- Finance
Role: Lead React Front End Developer (Lead Front End Software Engineer Developer Architect Architecture React ReactJS React-JS React.JS JavaScript TypeScript Agile Finance Trading Equities Equity Derivatives Asset Manager Investment Management) required by our asset management client in London. You will join a London based equities technology department of 15 engineers. This group are split over 3 different projects and consist mainly of Back End Python Developers. The group has also largely been hired in the last 12 months. Your role, therefore, will be to come in and lead the development of the front ends across each of the applications. Further, you will be responsible for standards, best practice and technical Front End strategy across the area. Current projects include an equities portfolio performance dashboard, researcher performance rating tool and a portfolio management reporting tool. The first two are greenfield projects. As investment increases, there will be further new, greenfield projects too.
You will decide whether to continue to use JavaScript or implement TypeScript. React is otherwise the framework of choice. You will mentor more junior members, report into the senior London equities technology manager and liaise and collaborate across this technical space and the business.
Finance experience is not required making this an excellent opportunity to get into finance. Hours are 9-5. Some remote working is also allowed.
As the team grows, this role could enter into a management role. Otherwise, there is excellent progression whilst remaining purely technical.
