Description

We are IT Recruitment Specialists partnered with a prestigious Global Consultancy who required a Performance & Volume Testing (PVT) Assurance Test Analyst Telford - WFH currently for one of their public sector Clients based in UK.

  • IR35: This role is inside of IR35
  • Initial duration: 6 months

Role and tasks

The Customs Declaration Service (CDS) Programme is the UK's most important IT programme, supporting the transition of Customs Declarations from the existing CHIEF service in support of 150,000 traders making 55m declarations per annum.

What you'll do:

  • Perform static test analysis of performance test acceptance criteria, test approach and test evidence, following test execution by the technical teams who are doing the performance testing.
  • Participate in technical review calls to provide input and steer on test direction
  • Assure test scenarios from technical documentation and identify any dependencies
  • Work with the technical teams to review and assure their performance test scenarios and test evidence
  • Ensure all subordinate test documentation and test evidence (eg JMeter reports) are produced by the appropriate technical team, with clear traceability back to the acceptance criteria
  • Check that the performance tests planned by the teams doing the testing provides appropriate coverage of both expected and unexpected behaviour
  • Undertake traceability of the acceptance criteria against the test evidence/results to ensure the component/s have been tested accurately
  • Validate infrastructure utilisation statistics from the performance test execution runs undertaken by the technical teams (ie CPU, RAM, Memory and Storage capacity)

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • An understanding of Performance & Volume Test (PVT) testing
  • Infrastructure testing experience (with at least 3 years focused on Non-Functional Testing)
  • Good understanding of Risk Based Testing (RBT) and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • Good understanding of agile delivery life cycles
  • Experience of JIRA and Confluence
  • An understanding of how infrastructure utilisation statistics are reported
  • Able to hold complex test discussions with architects, SMEs and Operational Teams
  • ISTQB Advanced Level Technical test analyst
