ECS are one of the leading and fastest growing Digital Transformation Consultancies in the UK, specialising in Cloud Enablement, Data & Analytics, Cost Optimisation, DevOps and Customer Experience.

We are looking for an experienced AWS Solution Architect to join a financial services client project in a remote based contract role, that will be part of a 3 year programme working to transform a current on-prem data lake solution and moving it to the Cloud. The existing Data Lake is built on Cloudera and Hadoop and supports over 2000 users.

In this role as an AWS Solution Architect you will be expected to work in hands on role, participating in build work as well as being able to design and document the solution.

Key experience for the role:

  • Solid AWS knowledge, particularly around S3, Glue, EMR (especially Spark) and IAM (along with ADFS and SAML if possible)
  • Experience previously working in Solution Architect roles, within the financial services would be ideal
  • Data Lake formation knowledge would be a bonus
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform
  • Hadoop experience would also be preferable to ensure feature parity with AWS solution
