Senior Delivery Manager

Description

• lead and motivate multiple multi-disciplinary teams, helping them organise and plan their work, ensuring they deliver products and services that actually meet users' needs
• Ensure teams clearly communicate their plans and progress through their plans using recognised agile practices
• Provide data to help report on the programme to the portfolio and senior management team
• Identify the people, skills, and resources that the teams need to deliver to the agreed goals
• Identify and communicate risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers
• Working with senior leaders in GDS and other senior stakeholders to ensure all needs are understood and to influence strategic direction
• Develop, guide and coach your delivery manager line reports
• Manage stakeholders to ensure good relations and effective communication
• Actively participate in the Delivery Manager community, learning, sharing and applying skills and knowledge to improve to learn more about what Senior Delivery Managers do in government, please review the DDaT Capability

• Experience of successfully delivered complex digital projects and products
• An understanding of agile and lean methodologies and how they help deliver products and services at scale
• A good understanding of the digital landscape
• Confidence Matrix-managing multi-disciplinary teams
• The ability to promote agile practices across an organisation
