My client a leader in their field are on the lookout for a GCP Architect to join their fully remote team.
Experienced (min 5 years) Architect with excellent Cloud knowledge, preferably GCP
Ideally with previous banking experience
- Experience of working on major programmes and a solid understanding of financial services and typical business processes - able to understand the objectives for a project and to shape cloud solutions that best meet those requirements, in line with my clients standards
- Strong technical background, good knowledge of the Cloud technology stack, understanding of IAM principles, and containers
- Hands on experience of GCP is desirable
- Excellent understanding and demonstrable experience of current engineering practices (ie DevOps)
- Excellent communication skills as the ability to communicate effectively, constructively, confidently and professionally is key to the success in the role as is the ability to work with both business and IT teams
- Keen attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to actively manage workloads to meet business and department requirements.
- Experience working in multi disciplinary teams
- Desirable - Solution Architecture/Engineering certifications in GCP
Initial tasks
- Work with Lead Architects on key business programmes to understand and assure their designs from a Cloud perspective, identifying risks, issues and solution gaps
- Identify any work impact for the Cloud Centre of Excellence teams as a result of working with the business programmes and assist in sizing and estimating for the work, alongside Delivery Managers, Technical BAs and Engineering Leads
