Systems Engineer - French speaking - Freelance - Belgium
Robson Bale are looking for a French speaking Systems Engineer to come on board for an initial 6 month contract in Belgium.
6 months, market rate.
Role:
OT Systems (or ICS Systems) are automation systems and Servers that manages manufacturing, laboratory or facilities physical devices. In this context, the role of OT System Engineers is the installation and the maintenance of applications on OT Servers which are located on a dedicated and segregated network. He/she work in collaboration with the OT Application Owner and advice this owner on the system operation requirements.
Primary Tasks & Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration and upgrading of OT Applications based on procedures and documents provided by the vendor or application owner
- Investigation, diagnostic and resolution of incidents impacting OT Applications and systems.
- Advice the OT application owner to ensure the operational requirements for the OT systems.
- Execution of OT Applications qualification testing according the GxP regulation requirements.
- Working in validated environment which implies writing and maintenance of technical documentation and procedures, and follow controlled change management process.
- Verification of Disaster Recovery readiness for OT Systems and coordination of Disaster recovery testing.
- Application and system design is not part of the job since it is the responsibility of the application owner.
Hard Skills
- Strong knowledge of ICS/OT systems and applications - eg SCADA, PLC, Warehouse
- Systems, Laboratory Systems, Building Management Systems
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux Server environment
- Strong knowledge databases - eg Oracle, SQL Server
- Strong knowledge of Virtualisation technology - eg VMWare, Nutanix
- Good knowledge of OT Systems Security requirements - ie ISA
- Strong analytical skills
Soft Skills
- Excellent spoken and written skills in French and English
- Communication skills - Contacts with maintenance teams, external suppliers, International sites
- Be able to deliver support remotely
- Surely capable of solving problems

- Service Minded - Familiar with the fundamentals of IT Service Management and SLA's

- On Duty: The candidate will accept to be on call
- Knowledge of Pharmaceutical regulation requirement for IT/OT systems implementation
- Good writing skill for technical and qualification documentation
Education, Methodology & Certification Requirements
- Operating Systems Certification - eg MCSA - or equivalent by experience
- ITIL v3 Foundations certified is an asset
- Strong affinity with IT/OT evolutions
