Solution Architect
Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Solution Architect.
You will be required to use an FCSA Accredited Umbrella Company for this role.
Key Requirements:
- The role of MTD Core Solution Architect is part of the core programme team for Making Tax Digital for Business. - There are a number of such roles in the core team in order to provide coverage of the broad range of activities in the programme.
- Each individual will be responsible for leading the architecture work for a specific release of MTD ITSA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the Solution Architecture document and end-to-end model for the relevant release to reflect any evolving decisions and elaborations arising from detailed design and delivery.
- Monitor any emerging technical risks associated with the solution for the relevant release.
- Support the PM for the relevant release as required to resolve technical issues that arise during the delivery of the relevant release.
- Facilitate discussions that balance technical risk against delivery pressures and constraints.
- Work with the CDIO Lead Architect and Delivery Architect where appropriate to surface risks to the programme.
- Support the Project Manager in prioritisation discussions.
- Support and participate in the development of the solution architecture for subsequent releases of MTD ITSA beyond the relevant release:
* Attending Discovery workshops to understand the business and requirement context.
* Raising appropriate questions about the business requirements in order to help understand the context for the technical solution.
* Identifying any technical risks and necessary assumptions.
* Work with the architect leading the production of the relevant Solution Architecture document.
* Where cross component/integration issues arise between delivered components, facilitate discussions between the architects responsible for the various components.
* Working with EIS and the Delivery Architect to ensure integration of the elements of the MTD solution.
* Where detailed issues arise out of the development process, facilitate discussions across the teams, and other suppliers as appropriate.
- Feedback from relevant Client stakeholders.
- Surfacing and facilitating resolution of issues in a timely manner through delivery.
- Maintained e2e documentation from the SAS for the relevant release actively used by PM, Client colleagues and relevant client contacts.
- Appropriate contributions to the SAS documents for other (later) releases.
