My client a leading technology strong professional services company is implementing a strategic Operational Asset Management (OAM) programme, which will see its Legacy asset management systems retired and replaced. This is one of the largest programmes the company has ever undertaken. The new systems will transform operations and this opportunity will play a key part in a major programme of work to modernise their application estate and implement a new enterprise asset management platform in the shape of IBM Maximo.

This ERP/Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Project Manager position will require a robust, proactive Project Manager who is well adept to managing change and working across multiple sectors within a business. This role will involve several work streams such as: Implementation of Maximo (IBM's asset management tool) across multiple divisions/Supply Chain Management/GIS Mapping/Remediation/Data Quality.
Scope of the ERP/Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Project Manager position:
- Delivery of ERP systems and not singular modules, but many and coordinating them.
- Operational and/or Enterprise Asset Management experience.
- Experience of GIS (Geographic Information System) systems is highly beneficial, but not essential.
- Good understanding of the asset management life cycle.
- Confident with stakeholder management.
- Any working knowledge of Maximo (IBM) would be an advantage.
The ERP/Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Project Manager is responsible for the planning, management and delivery of project within a programme. The project will deliver on an agreed objective within an agreed timescale, budget and quality constraints.
As the ERP/Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Project Manager you will be accountable for:
- Managing any assigned projects to provide the deliverables needed by the organisation.
- Planning the project and monitoring any dependencies with other initiatives.
- Managing risks and issues, ensuring each has an owner and that appropriate mitigation is in place.
- Keeping the project within budget.
- Mobilising temporary project teams, providing task management and motivating staff to deliver to challenging timescales.
- Ensuring that the quality of the project's deliverables are acceptable, balancing this against time and quality.
- Participate fully as a professional member of the Change Delivery team to ensure a high performing environment.
Knowledge and experience required for the ERP/Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Project Manager position:
- Professional Project Management accreditation eg OGC's Prince2 or PMP.
- Solid and demonstrable experience of successful project delivery across a number of project domains and environments eg procurement, IT, organisational change.
- An ability to remain positive, with a 'can do' attitude and ability to find pragmatic solutions to challenges.
- An ability to influence decision makers and drive change in the behaviour of others.
- Personally credible and able to gain respect and trust from stakeholders.
- Articulate and able to communicate effectively.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Resilient under pressure and able to work in a constantly changing environment.
