About the client

We are collaborating with a globally renown telecommunications company who is at the forefront of the 5th generation technology. Inspiring, innovating and engineering solutions to provide a more efficient way of how we communicate with each other.

Due to business expansion is looking for a Compliance Lead to join the team. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Data Protection Officer and be conversant in providing specialist, practical, regulatory guidance to the business and ensure policies, processes, procedures and controls in place to operate within legal and regulatory parameters in the UK.

About the role:

This is a great opportunity for a Qualified Accounting Manager (IFRS 16) to take ownership of IFRS 16 reporting, highly visible you will be managing high profile external service providers and internally liaising with senior management.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager and focus on leading the IFRS 16 reporting, embedding and improving the processes for this accounting standard. The successful candidate will be responsible for quarterly and annual forecasting, the integrity of IFRS 16 database and reconciling all discrepancies.

About you

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, 3 years PQE, preferably audit background.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS 16.
  • Strong Technical Accounting skills.
  • Experience in managing external and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in a month-end environment with experience of General Ledger close processes and month-end reconciliation requirements.
  • Experience in working with external auditors.
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Being Customer-driven - Creating and delivering a great customer experience.
  • Being a Collaborator - Build and maintain good relationships with multiple stakeholders and understand their requirements. Strong influencing skills and be able to engage others from a broad area of business background.
  • Being Agile - Priorities the work and continually reassessing
  • Be comfortable presenting and liaising with senior management.
