Description

Controls Manager (SOX) and required for a large SAP Programme based in the UK on a contract basis for 6 months initially.

You will need to be a proven, hands on Process Controls Manager with extensive experience working on large scale SAP implementations and have the experience and ability to work unsupervised.

Our Domain & Consulting practice is expanding rapidly and we're seeking talented, high performing professionals with strong IT controls advisory and implementation skills to join our team as an IT Controls Senior Manager.

We are looking for an individual to take a leading role on SOX and IT controls engagements, particularly in relation to the new ERP and Shared service centre implementations. We are looking for individuals with a strong background in IT risk, controls, and governance, who can take a leading role in building the practice, winning work, owning client relationships, and leading teams to deliver complex engagements to senior stakeholders.

Expected Skills:
* Good understanding of internal controls and governance including knowledge of financial accounting and products, control governance and SOx
* Acting as an IT and Process controls/SOx subject matter expert on engagements and developing thought leadership
* Execution and delivery-focused, able to drive a process forward effectively and efficiently in a timely manner; able to effectively challenge current processes and develop recommendations
* Working with clients to rationalise and/or optimise their approach to documenting and testing IT controls, with an aim to reduce their cost of compliance
* Effective communication and influencing skills with different audiences using suitable channels for achieving clear outcomes, consensus, and conflict resolution
* Working with new clients by establishing ITGC control frameworks and implementing controls and establishing a establish a culture of compliance throughout their organisation
* Conducting SOx Design Effectiveness Assessments (DEA) which includes documenting the walkthrough meetings and procedures
* Assessing the impact of control weaknesses on financial reporting and raise issues
* Leading teams to deliver a portfolio of client facing and internal projects, including monitoring engagement progress and budget
* Knowledge of latest tools and techniques to document, monitor and report SOX and IT controls
* Developing and managing relationships with senior client stakeholders across a portfolio
* Align standards and procedures of process with other Process Managers (R2R and others)
* Own and ensure process documentation, including standard operating procedures and training materials, are accurately maintained and readily available to the business.

Required Skills:
* Experience in Finance and/or Auditing
* Recent experience in identifying, documenting, and testing controls for a large Matrix-based organisation
* Good understanding of SOx requirements with recent experience working as an IT and SOX controls lead
* Ability to understand, implement and drive improvements to a risk and control framework
* Ability to prepare and lead client workshops, capture, document, analyze and communicate information obtained during the workshop
* Experienced in similar roles within global ERP implementations
* Knowledge of SAP GRC and S4Hana would be an advantage
* Effective communication - written, presentation and verbal
* Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and high levels of energy and drive - especially in the face of resistance or setbacks
* Proven experience in managing senior Client business stakeholders
* Highly innovative and impact thinking in both business transformation and technology
* Experienced and comfortable in leading consulting engagements end to end with minimal supervision
* Self-starter, passionate about results and a team player
