Role
As a Data Engineer you will work in a team that is end to end responsible for data services, where a data service spans from management dashboards, data warehousing, real time decisioning pipelines to frameworks for data quality measures. As a data engineer you will typically take the role of building and running data pipelines, data warehouses, data frameworks or different data presentation techniques.
Responsibilities
- Create data models as products to enable the business to make data-driven decisions
- Develop and maintain datasets with a product mindset striving for a high level of excellence and user experience
- Supporting Analysts and other engineers throughout the organization in writing more performant SQL
- Migrating pipelines
- Supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring that transformation is in a healthy state
Skills/Experience
- Relevant education with a degree in engineering or comparable skills
- Experience as a Data Engineer, comparable positions, or demonstrated modeling capabilities
- Can independently navigate any following technologies: AWS Reshift, Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark, AWS EMR, AWS Glue, QlikSense
- Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
- A burning curiosity and interest in data, fast data, big data, data governance, data models, data warehouse, data insights
- Some of the technologies you'll be using, ? SQL ? PySpark ? AWS (Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR) ? Apache Airflow
