Freelance Product Owner - Amsterdam, RemoteAs a Freelance Product Owner, you will be involved in further developing the IT processes in line with the roadmap for a global program, which will affect its users, employees and stakeholders.
The program is aimed at automating their internal administrative processes and tasks.
As a Product Owner, you have a key portfolio within the new process and IT landscape. Together with a large and diverse group of stakeholders and a dedicated team of IT professionals, you will analyse customer demands and develop new software with which they provide their users and colleagues with, and maximise intuitive and user-friendly tools.
Important elements in your role of Product Owner are:
Backlog management
* You manage and prioritize the product backlog (derived from the tribe backlog)
* You monitor and adjust the progress of the product backlog
* You ensure a transparent backlog
* You ensure a well-filled and ordered product backlog and you present the developments and progress in the context of reviews
* You translate the long-term vision into a roadmap of 3 to 6 months
* You determine the sprint goal during the sprint planning to give focus to the (development) team
* You define the strategy & vision for the implementation of team deliverables (from bug fixes, eliminating tech debt, improvement actions to new features)
* You give clear direction to the team
* You follow market developments and respond to them
* You adjust vision and product based on customer feedback and usage data
* You translate the vision into epics, features and user stories for the team in collaboration with the team (including business analysts, developers)
Stakeholder management
* You collect wishes from stakeholders and end users (customer)
* You maintain your network with relevant stakeholders
* You involve stakeholders and/or end users through sprint reviews
* You engage the right experts on a subject
* You monitor the progress and results of the product backlog
* You provide transparent information to the tribe lead, stakeholders and fellow Product Owners about impact on the business
* Agile working
* You stimulate and promote the Agile method for both the development team and the stakeholders
* You manage dependencies with other teams within the Tribe and Cross-Tribe
* You ensure that the team is part of the Refinement process (no handovers)
* You ensure that deliverables meet the definition of ready
* You ensure that the product, service, increment meets the definition of done
* You work with your team on predictability for the work to be delivered
* You work with your team on (iterative) continuous improvement (as type of work on the backlog (such as Tech Debt) every sprint in addition to developing new features)
Job requirements
* You have HBO/academic work and thinking level
* You have demonstrable experience as a Product Owner in complex environments (in an Agile organization)
* You are CSPO and/or PSPO certified
* You have experience working in digital transformations
* You are exceptionally strong in stakeholder management and you move easily in various layers of the organization; you immerse yourself in the business and you have the necessary organizational sensitivity
* You have experience and/or strong affinity with IT and administrative processes
* You are an expert and example in agile working, outside-in thinking and (multidisciplinary) collaboration
