Contracts Manager urgently required to work on an initial 10-month contractLocation : Remote / Occasional travel to London The ideal candidate will have a Contracts Manager background with experience working within the Central Government sector. The ideal candidate will have active CTC clearance
* Good knowledge of Public Contracts Regulations or willingness to gain experience and qualifications when in role.
* Working knowledge of standard contracts such as NEC and JCT forms of contract.
* Experience of effectively supporting projects demonstrating good written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to prioritise and effectively plan work.
* Good IT skills, including competent in use of Microsoft Excel and must have ability to interrogate and present data.
* Understanding of 'Purchase to Pay' processes.
* Good analytical skills (to assess value for money, savings opportunities and commercial risk).
* Engage with Policy Teams to ensure identification of priority, high risk, high value Contracts and Supplier relationships
* Lead or support teams as required in the implementation and embedding of robust Contract Management, aligned to the GCO Contract Management framework.
* Act as an assessor of business-critical contracts to ensure compliance, mitigate risk and maximise value.
