Microsoft Dynamics Functional Analyst - Business Central is essential
Location: Remote/Birmingham
Advantage Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of a growing international recycling & manufacturing client for a Functional Analyst who can offer recent Business Central experience and ideally Microsoft BC certification. Any experience of Dynamics CRM (and certification) would be nice to have, but not essential.
As the Functional Analyst you will review business requirements, propose & design solutions, produce specifications, and provide quality assurance through user and system testing, within Microsoft Business Central and Dynamics 365 CRM solutions.
As the Functional Analyst you must be able to perform system configuration, as well as guide developers in the solution design, development, and implementation.
The role must drive towards continuous improvement within Business Central and Dynamics 365 CRM solutions, identifying issues in the current processes and solutions that will create and drive the basis for future change.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify business and system requirements and design solutions to deliver value based on priorities across Business Central and Dynamics 365 CRM.
- Clearly review and assess business requirements and to establish solution designs.
- Assess the risks of various solutions and prioritise competing business demands.
- Manage requirements and their solutions throughout the development life cycle.
- Design and develop solution workflows to outline critical processes.
- Configure solutions to meet design requirements and assist in the development of design documentation.
- Where coding is required, be the point of contact and work in conjunction with vendors to discuss and agree on the solution design and implementation.
- Create test cases and test scripts in accordance with the test plan.
- Work with end users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to accurately prioritise defects and re-test resolved issues.
- Assist in the creation of training materials and delivery of end user training.
- Coordinates project delivery by participating in design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate systems designs and validate proposed solutions.
- Engage with internal IT and external vendors to incorporate usability and user interface needs when designing systems.
- Coordinate with users for data cleansing, conversion, standardisation, and categorisation.
- Proactively resolve customer satisfaction issues partnering with application support providers.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree (preferred) in business, software engineering, computer science or related field preferred.
- Demonstrable and recent functional analysis experience with heavy emphasis on requirements gathering, solution design. Any experience within the following industries is preferred; Waste Management, Logistics or Manufacturing industries.
- Achieved Microsoft certification in either Business Central or Dynamics 365 CRM solutions.
- Experience working with application & solution design principles, requirements gathering techniques including interviews, workshop facilitation, prototyping and creating user acceptance test scripts.
- Experience working with agile project methodologies.
