Trade Floor Application Support Analyst

We are seeking a Trade Floor Application Support Analyst to join JP Morgan's Sales and Research Production Management Team (Part of Digital Markets Production Management) on an initial 6 months contract in London. You should have recent experience of working in an Application Support position working closely with Front Office sales and trading staff and must have strong experience of Unix, Sql, Geneos and/or Splunk.

Morgan's financial markets solutions across the full trade life cycle: award-winning research, powerful analytics, structuring tools, direct API connectivity to JPM systems, multi-product trading and extensive post-trade capabilities. Additionally, Digital Markets includes a number of applications critical to the operations of our sales force, research organization and Investor Services divisions and beyond.

As a Front Office Application Support professional, your dedication to innovation is essential to what keeps our company moving and thriving. In this role, you'll oversee application issues, including troubleshooting, maintaining, identifying, escalating and resolving. You'll ensure that the production changes your team makes are made keeping best practices, life cycle methodology and overall risk top of mind. Partnering with Infrastructure Service Support team members, you'll dig into root cause analysis, production changes, budgetary, and staffing issues. You'll also draw on your experience to manage and mentor people to drive strategic change, both within your team as well as in collaboration with team members across JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s global network of innovators.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing Real Time application support to various Front Office teams
  • Monitoring of production environment using existing tools, and responsibilities to iteratively enhance monitoring capabilities through Scripting, configuration of tools (eg Geneos, Splunk).
  • Incident management, including technical troubleshooting and stakeholder communications
  • Root cause analysis of incidents, including documentation and capture of incidents and follow-up actions
  • Governance and oversight of technology platforms inline with firmwide standards (capacity/change management)
  • Working with a diverse range of development teams to troubleshoot a wide variety of production problems coverage covering client connectivity, eTrading, algo trading, risk management and post-trade booking
  • Partnering with colleagues in other locations to execute on strategic priorities of the team - potentially including Scripting projects and automation of manual toil)
  • Shifts are 7am to 4pm/10am to 7pm Mon-Fri. There is no expected overnight or weekend coverage requirement.

*Please note JP Morgan are working on a hybrid model of 3 days in office and 2 days from home per week. When working from home you will need your own Laptop/PC as these are not provided.*
