Description

Our client, a global financial organisation based in London, is looking for a skilled Product Specialist to join their team for an initial 6 month period, on a contract basis. This role provides a flexible hybrid model, with the ability to work from home 3 days per week. The appointed Product Specialist will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise across Markets technology initiatives. The successful candidate will be able to leverage their capital markets expertise across Repos, Derivatives and Collateral Management, with particular regard to the middle and Back Office functions.

The position will form part of a London-based team working with the global technology team, largely based in the US. The candidate will be expected to serve as a conduit between the local product owners and the global technology teams by understanding customer journeys and translating them into application changes.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • SME level understanding of 1 or more Brokerage products
  • Exposure to Broadridge Gloss is preferable
  • Significant Capital Markets Product (OTC Derivative, Listed Derivative, Repos, Fixed Income and Equity Cash products) middle and Back Office processing experience
  • Established and proven track record in information technology requirements gathering, systems design and execution in supporting theCapital Markets domain
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience with regulatory requirements for transaction reporting for EMIR, MIFID and SFTR
  • Notable experience in liaising directly with a variety of stakeholders throughout the firm
  • Notable experience in working closely with Capital Markets Operations and Middle Office teams and Compliance/Risk functions
  • Solid exposure to Market Data providers, trading venues/exchanges and related connectivity
  • Ability to collaborate with business and technology teams to understand requirements and share with technical teams
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience - able to use tools such as Excel to analyse large volumes of data to find correlations, variations and anomalies
  • Ability to be proactive and clearly escalate when risks or issues arise
  • Good documentation skills with the ability to articulate complex topics in a concise and articulate manner
  • Technology background with a good understanding of the software development life cycle and execution models (esp. Agile).
  • Experience of planning and coordinating technology delivery working closely with development teams.
  • Ability to work across multiple initiatives in parallel and prioritise own workload.
  • Experience of working with third-party vendors.
