Data Standards Manager - Public Sector - Inside IR35 - Edinburgh (Remote/Hybrid)
Day Rate - £600
Duration - 6 months
Harvey Nash's Client are looking for a Data Standards Manager, you will have oversight of data usage in relation to the Identity platform, providing strategic standards and methods on how meta data and data is managed, shared and utilised across different organisations, and prioritising the reuse of value across business processes. A key part of this will be to work with GDS, other UK Government departments and organisations such as Open Identity Exchange to maximise interoperability within the nascent UK Digital Identity Trust Framework.
You will be expected to produce meta data models based on analysis of business processes which add value to data, data quality and assurance methods, and the potential reuse of the data and metadata in other business processes.
Responsibilities
- Work with Digital Identity Scotland (DIS) team, and with third parties, to build our data and metadata modelling capability by providing technical leadership
- Oversight of standards and rules around the management of data and meta data schemas, governance of data related verification processes, assurance and quality processes
- Work with stakeholders and Service Customer organisations to consider and manage data ownership issues, including data privacy impact assessments and GDPR.
- Oversight of management information requirements and reporting
- Support development of metadata standards and process analysis methods for acquisition and reuse of data and metadata.
Skills & Experience Required
You will be able to collect, organise and study meta data and data to provide business insight.
In this role, you will:
- apply tools and techniques for data analysis
- identify, collect and migrate meta data and data to and from a range of systems
- define methods, standards and processes to manage, clean, abstract and aggregate meta data based on analysis of business processes which originate and reuse data and metadata
- define meta data standards and rules for reuse which manipulate and link different meta data and data assets
- summarise and present metadata data standards and methods in the most appropriate format for users
