Strategic
- To assist Operational Workforce Planning, Engineering resource in the development of the Long Term (LT) supply solution for Engineers and Designers.
- To assist in the development of the Engineer and Designer demand and business case
- To assist Operational Workforce Planning, Engineering resource in the analysis of Domain Capability Management Plans in support of development of the LT supply solution.
Operational
- To lead on the Engineering Career Framework and ensure it's reflected in training, succession planning, knowledge transfer and all capability documentations.
- To lead on the Development of the Engineering Competency Baseline and ensure it aligns to the corporate engineering competency framework. Identify nuclear components and ensure they comply with NDSC/ONR requirements.
- To lead the Engineering Strategic Workforce Plan for the 2022 submission and provide quarterly updated to the engineering senior leadership team.
- To lead on the development and promote a comprehensive training strategy incorporating the strategic workforce plan and new ways working (remote/E-learning, future proof).
- Agree SOR in line with training budget, work with L&D to acquire training, communicate training out to key stakeholders and develop training process and training calendar.
- Provide quarterly high level engineering supply solution to support the BRP team. Ensure programme demand, inputs from Domain Cluster Leads, IBP and FRR are all considered. Review solution with all key stakeholders.
- Work with the programmes and the domains to develop the top down view of the overall engineering recruitment requirement, attend and support the FRR.
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure the engineering nuclear baseline requirements are met.
