Our Client the world's leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, are looking for a Parts Return Coordinator to join their team working Hybrid in Peterborough on a 12 month contract, £12 per hour PAYE, inclusive of 32 day holiday and Pension. No fees unlike an Umbrella engagement

Job Description:

As a part returns coordinator, you will be part of the IPSD Service Engineering Team, who have responsibility for supporting all engine products, 0.5-18 Litre, across all industry types (machine, industrial, EP, rail).

In this key role, you will be supporting the identification, return, tracking and communication of global service part returns in direct support of Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) and Rapid Response projects across all medium engine product ranges.

Job Duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Responsibility for coordination, return and tracking of service parts or related information from the field associated with active CPI projects, on 0.5-7.1L product ranges.

Responsibility for coordination, return and tracking of service parts or related information from the field associated with active Rapid Response investigations, on 1.7-4.4L product ranges.

Locate in-scope service parts, globally, as identified by project teams and arrange for their return using corporate returns systems, processes and methodologies.

Collaborate with global product support teams to facilitate the return of identified parts from Perkin's distributors and 3rd party OEM's.

Maintain processes and associated documentation relating to service part returns, including tracking of parts and analysis reporting status to ensure reports and investigation findings are received on time and that all NCM events are updated at each step through to closure, where applicable.

Creation of field watches to ensure timely visibility and return of identified parts in support of CPi or Rapid Response activities.

Regular communication with project teams on returns status, including identification of roadblocks or obstacles.

Provide governance to the CPI part returns process, holding internal partners to account for delivering on commitments and responsibilities.

Communicate information in a concise and accurate manner, ensuring velocity is driven through the entire part returns process.

Working independently as a CPI project team member, with guidance from Black Belts and Service Engineers, to identify and prioritise part returns or informational requests and have them investigated through the pre-defined analysis route(s), ultimately leading to the timely and cost-effective resolution of significant field problems.

Cat Send It Back (SIB) part return system/process

Corporate quality and CPi tool

SIMS (Service Information Management System)

SIS (Service Information System)

Microsoft excel, power-point and word

Various database applications, including Power BI, MS teams and Sharepoint

Warranty Systems

Success factors for this role include demonstrating excellent process adherence and development skills and effective implementation of project management principles. Major challenges facing incumbents are meeting velocity targets and managing multiple priorities. This position must keep up-to date on changing customer needs as projects progress and stay current with any new process or systems development related to part returns.
