Role: Architect

Location: London 2 days per week required in office

Day Rate: Up to £750 p/d (inside IR35)

Length: Until the end of September likely to extend

Our consultancy client are looking for two Architects to be part of a project supporting the Trading Analytics & Insight portfolio of data applications and platforms within one of their clients.

Experience needed:

  • Requirements definition and management, solution architecture, technical specialism, systems integration, innovation, data analysis
  • Background in architecture, with real-world experience of architecting, designing and delivering transformational IT projects.
  • Understanding or architecture development and design thinking in an agile environment, whilst adapting delivery techniques to drive outstanding project delivery.
  • Experience within tight-knit agile devops delivery team.
  • Ability to explain complex topics to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering architectures for complex solutions across business, data, technical and infrastructure domains.
  • Proven ability to take a global view of the current and emerging regulatory rules in order to identify common approaches and solutions
  • Experience executing design authority according to a common architecture process and strategy, including the identification and articulation of Key Design Decisions .
  • Experience in many of the following: AWS services including EC2 and RDS, Azure data platforms and products, Datamodelling, database design, Master Data Management tools and related technique, Dashboarding/Visualization tools such Power BI or Tableau, Messaging infrastructure and API design & development, Containerized applications & platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes & OpenShift, Enterprise Python SDLC, Data analytics/Machine learning/Data Science platforms.
  • A proven ability and experience of interpreting complex regulations and associated information in order to identify potential impacts across business process and IT systems.

Nice to have:

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, MIS/IT, Mathematics, Hard Science) or equivalent work experience.
  • Understanding of the basic business context and requirements associated with European Regulatory Reform, US Regulatory Reform, and emerging Singapore Reform
  • Solid experience of Real Time and daily regulatory reporting submissions, reconciliation, with good understanding of the associated data and processes
  • Experience from working on IT systems associated with one or several of the following regulations: Dodd-Frank, EMIR, REMIT, MiFID, MiFID II, MAR, MAS or CSA.
  • Experience of commodities trading, ideally gas, electricity, emissions, power, etc across Europe and beyond.
  • Experience within a commodity trading environment of transaction monitoring platforms and associated data feeds.
  • Experience with one or more of the Trade Repositories for Regulatory Trade Reporting.
