My Leading Technology Solutions client based in Prague requires your expertise as a Java Elasticsearch Developer within their Innovative Software team based in Prague on a 12 Month+ Contract. 100% Remote in the EU/UK (Outside IR35)
Key Skills and Responsibilities Java Search Developer include:
Delivering into a production environment
Working in a team, including a Scrum master and a Product Owner during development.
Coding and performing unit-tests required, you will submit your pull-request that will be reviewed and approved by at least two developers.
Performing code reviews for junior Developers
Deployment in a testing environment in which QA analyst/tester
Deployment into the production environment.
Close collaboration with the team of six Back End developers, four search Front End developers and one senior QA analyst. In addition, a dedicated MDM team, ETL team and Data Science team.
Must-Have:
Minimum 5 years' experience, of Java/Elasticsearch
In-depth knowledge of ElasticSearch, Search algorithm with Hands-on experience building search engine platforms is essential
Knowledge of Lucene-FST and Learn-to-Rank (LTR), Kafka, Airflow, DropWizard, including Dagger for dependency injection, Kubernetes, including Terraform and Helm-Chart, Data science related: Tensorflow, XGBoost, CPD-Algorithms, SW architecture experience
Strong soft skills (communication, mentoring, development processes, risk management, agile knowhow).
Willing to learn new technologies and formulate new ideas for improvements.
Happy to broaden your knowledge and are not afraid of trying out new technologies.
Ability to troubleshoot technical problem/challenge, take ownership
Highly desirable: Jenkins, Python, GCP know how, API, Bash, Basic knowledge with a build automation tool like Maven or Gradle. Micronaut, Basic HTML, CSS, Javascript.
Basic knowledge of Machine Learning, Data Mining, Information Retrieval would be a plus
English language skills required
