Solution Architect/Technical Lead with GDS ideally to work for our public sector client REMOTE.Expert knowledge in MS technologies and Azure cloud for a long piece of work lasting between 17-24 months.

You will act as Technical Lead on the Statutory Debt Repayment Plan (SDRP) project. This technical lead will have two main remits; the first is within the Enterprise space where the Technical Lead will provide leadership and technical assurance on the delivery of all technical components required to build the service. The second is within the Solution space, where the successful candidate will act as solution architect for the digital portal side of SDRP.
The Technical Lead will be required to represent the project at board level, as well as advising and providing technical support to colleagues across the project, supporting the product owner and providing advice and problem solving to the project managers.
You will lead will contribute to the development of plans and the management and resolution of risks and issues, and provide overall technical assurance to project stakeholders.
Solution Architecture: The solution is being developed in two parallel workstreams, with a solution architect in place for one of these workstreams (Payments).
The successful candidate will act as solution architect for the other workstream (Portals), creating, owning and assuring designs required to deliver the outcomes of the Portals workstream.
In addition, the Technical Lead will work closely with the Payments solution architect, ensuring that both worksteams deliver as to the agreed enterprise architecture vision and within guardrails set by both the project and enterprise architecture documents.
Development of both solution workstreams will be implemented by a number of third-party providers.
The Technical Lead will chair and regularly run a number of stakeholder engagement webinar sessions, from regular conference calls with externals (eg MS Teams), 100 people + webinars, online collaboration (eg via Slack) and via authoring and publishing Wiki content (eg via GitHub).
Strong experience in working as an enterprise or solution architect designing and implementing large-scale systems
Specialist in Architecture; adept at working both at the Enterprise and Solution Architecture level
Expert knowledge in MS technologies and Azure cloud
Good working knowledge of MS Dynamics
Excellent communication and presentation skills to stakeholders at all levels (including CxO)
Experience working with GDS/CDDO projects and building designs conformant to the GDS service manual and Technology Code of Practice
TOGAF certification
