My client aims to deliver a customer centric service, that exceeds their expectations, through our collaborative, service led, cross functional ethos.

Within the Sourcing team, the client uses modern sourcing techniques and is responsible for sourcing dynamically to create an ecosystem based on collaboration, co-creation and continuous improvement. In order to deliver an extensive pipeline of sourcing/procurement requirements for the corporate service team.

An experienced Interim Sourcing Manager is required to work primarily on the end-to-end delivery of corporate services sourcing activities, working flexibly to deliver sourcing pipeline requirements in a customer focused, timely and compliant manner. This Role is Inside IR35.

Requirements:

- Experience working in a commercially focussed environment

- Extensive end to end sourcing experience with a demonstrable track record of savings delivery

  • Demonstrable experience of driving value from complex sourcing opportunities
  • Demonstrable level of problem-solving experience of complex sourcing specific challenges

Strong customer focus and stakeholder management skills

  • This is a multi-faceted role, operating in a fast-paced supportive environment, with a high volume of customer contact, at different levels across the organisation. The schedule of work is variable and is likely to involve multiple activities being conducted in parallel.
  • Requirement to be confident, dynamic, driven and well organised and apply procurement/sourcing knowledge, excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Effectively triage a high volume of incoming sourcing requests and enable delivery of sourcing/procurement activities across Corporate Services
  • Deliver sourcing/procurement activities in a commercially focused public sector environment
  • Implement approved Integrated Category Strategies (ICS) through the development and delivery of the qualified Sourcing pipeline, in collaboration with the relevant Category
  • Manager and relevant customers and stakeholders, to release the full defined savings and benefits value committed to within the ICS, with the ambition to deliver beyond the maximum value approved, in support of the C&P Director's cost savings target
  • Develop and implement of sourcing specific ideas and innovation-based business cases, working in collaboration with relevant customers and stakeholders, to address existing business problems that require external sourcing specific market expertise to solve
  • Demand manage and challenge customer and stakeholder common sourcing requirements to maximise overall Group-wide commercial value, adopting politically savvy engagement, direct and indirect influencing and selling strategies across multiple Routes and Regions, in a complex, devolved organisation
  • Develop and manage sourcing aligned continuous improvement activities, demand pipeline assessments and annual customer satisfaction surveys, to deliver an enhanced customer experience, aligned to the Vision and best in class Procurement ambition
  • Develop the external market sourcing practices, to include commercial models and total cost of ownership assessments, within the Sourcing Team, to enable the implementation of good practice and move towards a recognised best in class capability, in support of the employer of choice ambition
  • Apply knowledge and experience of delivering compliant procurement/sourcing in accordance with the Utilities Contract Regulations 2016 or Public Contract Regulations 2015
  • Apply the Sourcing Framework for sourcing led opportunities outside of ICS creation and within an OJEU environment, to manage all risk, governance, legislative and regulatory requirements, validated by the Procurement Risk and Assurance team
