IT Specialist in Moves and Changes, Surveys, Scheduling, Banking Sector

Our client, a multinational banking institute is currently seeking an outgoing, dynamic individual with a Banking background to join their team based in London City for a Hybrid IT and Moves and Changes Coordinator. This hybrid role requires experience of IT Hardware Moves and Changes, Surveys and Scheduling.

Successful candidates will be available to start by the 11th July and interviews to be scheduled for next week.

Individuals with a coordinator and technical background with the ability to coordinate IT moves and changes, conduct surveys of equipment and coordinate and schedule engineers using Remedy would be a positive match for this position. They may also be required to from time to time physically move and install IT equipment when necessary.

This dual role requires coordination of IT internal and building to building relocations and moves and changes, from stakeholder engagement to capturing and distributing move requirements and objectives. Physically visiting & auditing Back Office or Front Office workstations, creating Matrix Move Tech document (Excel) within agreed timelines.

The role will also involve the scheduling of engineers and this part of the role will involve the coordinator being the main point of contact for the customer requiring an IT service and the engineer. The requests come in via the Bank's service management tool, Remedy which is an IT Service Management (ITSM tool). The duties may include organising the engineering team, liaising with Bank associates where required, maintaining databases and coordinating monthly reports. Awareness of Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM tool) or a similar tool would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities & Attributes

  • Coordinate with build team to ensure IMAC deployments are scheduled with enough time in advance for them to be built
  • Inform in a timely manner of all changes to the daily deployments if changes occur
  • Surveying of end user desktops of both Voice, Data & Network connections
  • Coordinating and delegating activities to Move engineering teams
  • Point of contact for Move Projects escalation and resolution
  • Scheduling and organising hardware-based Engineer teams
  • Administration monitoring of IMAC BMC Remedy IT Service Management queue
  • Manage and prioritise incidents and requests
  • Ensure IMAC deployments are scheduled to meet daily targets, ensuring no overbooking is done
  • Monthly records updated with all relevant information at all times
  • Weekly reporting and presenting Data of outstanding and proposed refresh works
  • Liaise with Customer Stakeholders
  • Strong communication and articulate skills

  • Customer engagement via skype, phone, email and instant messaging
  • Respond to customer queries in a timely manner

Essential Skills/Qualifications

  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment ideally in the financial sector/Investment banking/Blue Chip/Trade Floors
  • Experience with coordinating IT/Hardware moves and changes
  • Excel skills
  • Task delegation and ownership of task
  • Excellent customer coordination skills
  • Proactive attitude to ensure scheduling task is completed
  • Articulate communication skills with a can-do attitude
  • Good organisational skills, ability to multi-task and excellent time management

Please note this is a Full time office-based position. The opportunity has been determined as inside IR35 and will require working through an Umbrella company.
