Management Accountant - This role requires SC Clearance which my client is happy to provide

Home working with occasional travel to Milton Keynes

My client a leading consultancy, supplying to both government sectors and high profile security clients is currently seeking a Management Accountant.

What you'll be doing
* Monthly reporting on key supplier, with a full understanding of contract, variances and any risk.
* Working within the client's Finance system (Prism) to raise PO's, receipt and manage invoice payment and queries.
* Managing reporting of financial indicators such as overdue invoices, open purchase orders and accruals.
* Working with finance to manage year end submissions and other returns.
* Ensuring good financial governance is adhered to, supporting any process improvement and identifying opportunities for savings, or service improvements.
* Working closely with the client Finance Team, to review monthly reports, budgets and any ad-hoc requests.
* Working with other stakeholders including Commercial, Portfolio, Live Services, the Change Team and Stakeholders.
* Supporting the Senior Management Accountant and the rest of the team, with ad-hoc tasks as required

What we're looking for
* Security Clearance (SC) or a willingness to obtain.
* CIMA/ACCA part qualified or qualified by experience.
* Experience of working with contracts and commercial skills.
* Strong systems and excel skills.
* Knowledge of working in an IT business/sector.
* Experience of working in public sector.
* Client relationship management.
* Strong analytic skills are required to analyse a variety of data.
* The role operates in a complex business and there will be a requirement to prioritise and understand the appropriate direction.
* As a customer facing role this person is responsible for representing our client. There will be engagement with supplier as well as the rest of the team to complement a smooth-running finance team.
* This role operates within the government area of the business reporting into finance as a function.
* This role needs hands on approach with the ability to analyse data and get involved in ensuring the best outcome is reached.
* An element of pragmatism is required to ensure client's needs are met within the contract.
* The ability to manage multiple prerogatives and prioritise is critical.
