Performance and Change Analyst

  • Contract, Inside IR35, £250/£300 per day

Role Purpose:

To support the design, testing and implementation stages for the introduction a new performance management and development framework, which optimises both individual and organisational performance.

Main duties/tasks

. Support the design and implementation of an effective, fit-for purpose performance management and development system (people, systems, and process elements) which aligns to the future vision of performance management for the organisation.
. Design and facilitate activities which will underpin the success of implementing a new performance management and development framework. For example, applying effective change management practice to the design of guidance and people processes which support a cultural shift for the organisation.
. Design and deliver relevant readiness activities to all levels of the organisation which educate, influence and empower colleagues and managers to take responsibility for embracing changes in how performance and development discussions and activities are discussed, recorded and acted upon.
. Identify and develop suitable metrics which measure achievements and adoption success in relation to the new performance management and development framework once it has been implemented.
. Work with stakeholders to support them in developing the case for change, including the drivers and vision for change, key milestones, challenges and how success could be measured.
. Work with managers and support them in identifying gaps, opportunities and barriers in structure, people, processes, or culture which are impacting on the adoption of new ways of working in relation to performance management and development.
. Apply effective change management to readiness and implementation activities. For example, anticipating and supporting the organisation through barriers and resistance to change

. Committed to identifying business needs and priorities, whilst ensuring OD service delivery is aligned to these
. Possesses the ability to think in a clear and systemic manner, whilst considering the effect of decisions made in a wider organisational scope/context
. Adept in dealing with challenging periods of organisational change, whilst acting as supporter/role model encouraging others to do the same
. Ability to work autonomously in a challenging and evolving business environment
. Places a strong emphasis on communication with others, helping to set direction by clarifying goals and activities and identifying how these link to strategy
. Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels, using appropriate styles, methods and timing, in order to maximise understanding and impact
. Experience of fostering and maintaining productive relationships and influencing people at all levels, both internally and externally to Commitment and Drive
. Takes responsibility for delivering expected outcomes to a high standard and timely manner
. Role models a positive and confident approach to delivery and works to remove barriers to this
. Adept at applying OD thinking in live environments and supporting teams through change/integration

Desirable criteria Technical/qualification requirements

. Experience of organisational data gathering and analysis
. Knowledge and/or experience of supporting performance management and development frameworks and supporting systems
. Awareness and knowledge of thought leadership around performance management and development frameworks, including knowledge of theory which underpins effective organisational performance management approaches.
. Experience of working with an HR or OD function
. Experience of working on OD or similar interventions or projects
. CIPD qualified or another relevant qualification
. Experience in training/coaching/mentoring colleagues
. Experience of project management
