Third Party Risk Officer - London (Hybrid working) - PAYE contract

We are currently working on a wide variety of assignments that include some major Digital Transformation initiatives, Regulatory and Compliance Programmes and Tools adoption projects where we are providing specialist technical and business services to a client base of primarily Tier 1 Banks.

You will have the confidence and the capability to step straight into a specialist consultancy role within one of MHC's Practice areas to provide effective and efficient solutions that support our Clients' business requirements, while working constructively with senior MHC and Client managers and other staff.

MHC are hiring a Third Party Risk Officer to join us on a PAYE contract basis and join a project we are delivering for one of the UK's Tier 1 Banks.

    The Third Party Risk Officer is a senior role responsible for coordinating the implementation of the Group Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and Framework within their Global Business/Function

    The role holder provides risk management support, subject matter expertise, leadership and direction for Third Party Risk related activities and issues

    As the primary point of contact for Third Party Risk, related to the Global Business/Function, the role holder will ensure that all Third Party Governance roles are co-ordinated and are performing effectively

    Job holders will define and maintain the Global Business/Function Third Party Risk Methodology and Governance Strategy to ensure consistent, effective and complete adoption of the Group TPRM Policy and Framework

    The Third Party Risk Officer role will hold some or all of these responsibilities:

    • Act as the primary point of contact/champion for TPRM related matters on behalf of Business/Function

    • Manage Third Party Risk in accordance with the Group Third Party Risk Management Framework and ensure ongoing compliance in the context of the relevant policies

    • Advise and guide Third Party Engagement Managers by establishing thresholds to identify materiality of Risk or Regulatory importance

    • Review and monitor Third Party Risk related issues across all entities within the Business/Function

    • Provide advice and guidance to Third Party Engagement Managers, Risk Owners and Accountable Execs

    • Measure Third Party against set risk objectives and controls including escalation through reporting line where decision/issue is of significant materiality or regulatory importance

    • Review of analysis, MI and reporting produced by the Risk Engagement Managers

    • Influence stakeholders with the Group TPRM Team, Risk Owners, Accountable Executive and Engagement Managers within the Business to create an environment of robust, pro-active and risk aware business operation

    • Represent the Business/Function at and periodically report to the Group Third Party Risk Oversight Forum on the nature and level of the function's exposure to Third Party Risk and the effectiveness of the arrangement to control the risk and keep the exposure within appetite

    • Create and maintain a governance structure to remain in constant touch with business plans that entail a Selection, On-boarding, Renewal or Termination of all new or existing Third Party Relationships

    • Ensure completeness/accuracy of the Business/Function Engagement portfolio

    • Own and manage Third Party Control Monitoring activities ensuring these take place on a regular basis, using Key Control Indicators to determine Control Effectiveness Rating

    • Carry out Control Remediation Planning, Tracking and Reporting
