SAP Project Manager - 12 month contract - THAILAND

We are urgently recruiting for a skilled SAP Project Manager to work for a leading Partner on a 12 month contract in THAILAND

Job Purpose

  • This position is primarily responsible for the overall management of IT systems in ASEAN region. This mainly involves the dealer management system (DMS) systems with associated SAP integrations while also extending to other digital applications and IT initiatives in the region.
  • The role involves leading or assisting in the planning, implementation, rollout of systems/features or functionalities in existing and new locations. It includes liaising with appropriate teams for application development and implementation of projects while focusing on meeting project commitments and maintaining effective communications with sponsors, stakeholders & vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and implementation of DMS and other IT Applications, coordination of development activities, implementation of projects using rapid prototype/pilot/proof of concept (PoC) approach.
  • The candidate should be able to contribute to the requirement analysis, validations, and testing stages of the project with both internal and partner teams
  • Ensure smooth rollouts in new regions/new initiatives and manage operations of existing projects.
  • Facilitate the definition of business case document, goals, tasks, resource requirements, cost and overall project plan, resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas, leverage existing methods or develop new to monitor project or area progress; and provide overall governance
  • Interact regularly with existing or potential stakeholders to determine their needs and to develop plans for improving the deliveries. Advocate on behalf of stakeholders and represent stakeholders' needs as appropriate to senior management and partners.
  • For new systems/enhancements without vendor support, gather and understand the functional and non-functional requirements from the project team/application owner team/BU, and provide high-level solution design.
  • Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes
  • Create all relevant process documentation for New Product/Process Definition, as well as maintaining updated versions of the knowledge base for the region.
  • As a product owner, possess up-to-date knowledge of the business processes and the underlying solution deployed across the Microsoft Dynamics (MSD) dealer management system (DMS) which includes Back End SAP processes and other connected integrations.
  • Effectively lead partner teams and inspire others to achieve goals through innovation, quality, and excellence
  • Manage project budgets, coordinate with the concerned department for purchase of software and hardware required in various projects
  • Ensuring necessary documentation including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical documentation, and other project-related documentation is in place
  • Ability to understand project requirements, coordinate with resources and direct the projects in the right direction in a timely manner
