One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a Business Development Manager.

Requirements profile - experience and competence

  • Experience in business and operational development
  • Experience from working with the life insurance industry specifically savings insurance. Meritating with experience from traditional insurance with equalized return.
  • Experience from having the work of designing models such as business models, strategies, profitability models, actuarial models or similar
  • Goodsuccess in life assurance technology, mission management and business strategy with strength in one or more areas
  • Meritorious with experience from working with/in mutual societies and/or competence in the characteristics of mutual societies
  • Ability and experience of leading a cross-functional group with different approaches
  • Ability to challenge existing models and thought patterns
  • Ability toconstantly familiarize oneself with methods, models, internal regulations and complex relationships.
  • Ability to make complex relationships understandable and communicable


In the assignment, the customer wants to review and challenge how business strategy, profitability and pricing interact. The review should result in an interplay between strategy, profitability, business management and pricing, as well as a profitability and pricing model that:

  • Gives us better conditions to steer the business towards profitable growth.
  • Allows for a balance between "for the many" and "those with greater capital".
  • Considers the value of a long-term customer relationship.
  • Leads to sound financial and business management.
  • Allows us to be relevant to the customer and thus ensure a viable life business going forward.

In addition, the model shall ensure that the non-profit-distributing companies comply with the contribution principle and enable the profit-distributing companies to distribute profits in accordance with the expectations of the owners.

The work will need to be conducted cross-functionally and involve expertise (from the customer) in law, actuarial, business strategy, business development, asset management and economics. It is estimated that about 20 people will be included in the assignment to various extents.

Sub-goals - Describe how business strategy, profitability and pricing interact.

Sub-goals - Review the starting points for profitability and pricing.

Milestones - Develop profitability metrics and any consequential changes in pricing models.

End goal - A system where strategy, profitability and pricing work together. An profitability and pricing model that supports profitable growth in line with the customer's strategy.
