The Senior Service Continuity Manager is accountable for the overall quality and execution of Service Continuity Management processes responsible for minimising downtime, cost and business impact.

Key accountabilities:

  • Overseeing Service Continuity Management processes, procedures and key artefacts such as service continuity plans.
  • Supporting Product Teams in testing continuity plans, processes and procedures to ensure that weak points are identified, teams are trained, and workarounds are identified.
  • Supporting Product Teams in first line fault diagnosis and resolution, coordinating and liaising with internal and external teams to minimise service impacting issues.
  • Working with Business Continuity teams outside of IT Service Management to ensure that IT is considered within wider business continuity planning.
  • Ensuring that key stakeholders have visibility of, and are trained in, the service continuity plans, roles and responsibilities in case of a disaster.
  • Leading forums such as disaster recovery meetings to identify gaps and improvement opportunities within existing plans.
  • Acting as a point of escalation during IT events, signposting to the correct processes and procedures and providing updates to IT Service Management leadership.

Key requirements:

  • Strong technical skills
  • Proven track record of leading Service Continuity functions ensuring the availability and performance of live services
  • Continuity Management experience
  • Availability and Capacity Management experience
  • Service Management Framework Knowledge
  • A minimum of ITIL Foundation is required for this role.
